This video made me hate people a little more tonight, so I thought I should share my opinions:
First, I'd like to know what would happen if that kid went up there singing, "Ain't no n**ger gonna make it to heaven??" This is the kind of derogatory language that I thought we got rid of fifty years ago... Especially at a public gathering! Seriously, i feel like I'm watching some politician in the 1800s. If the church was denouncing any other group-- blacks, Jews, immigrants-- they'd be in huge trouble! No one would support that,

The Uncanny Valley

Have you heard of the uncanny valley? It's that oh-so-small margin (usually in robotics or animation) where something looks strikingly human, but it's not quite there. (Basically those Japanese sex dolls or any robot made to look human)
The thing with this uncanny valley is that it's creepy as hell to us! We've had enough human interaction to know what we look like and what we do, so anything that's slightly off is unsettling and repulsive.

I haven't done anything all sumer.
I guess I'm writing this because I want to create something. (What's the word for this mood? Submissive, subversive?... Whatever.) Anyways this is a site that inspires creation and I haven't done anything on DA for at least a year. So I guess I'll start here!
